Information, not professional advice
Similarly, nothing here is medical advice. Pages discussing CPAP machines and other medical equipment cover the electrical side only — your equipment supplier and your clinician are the authorities on your device and your needs.
Accuracy, and its limits
We take accuracy seriously: every specification is retrieved from a manufacturer's published listing, appliance wattages come from two cited published charts, and prices come from a live feed with their check date attached. Our methodology sets this out in full.
What we cannot guarantee is that a manufacturer's published figure is correct, that a product has not changed since we recorded it, that a price is current at the moment you read it, or that a product suits your specific house. Always verify critical figures — especially wattages and connector types — against the equipment itself and your own electrician before buying or installing.
Safety
Portable generators produce carbon monoxide at concentrations that kill people in minutes. The guidance on this site is attributed to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and is summarized on our carbon monoxide safety page. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your own equipment, which take precedence over anything here.
